The Sun King Warriors project includes a core mission that stretches beyond selling music, concert tickets and t-shirts. Musicians, for better or worse, are in the unique position of attracting the attention of people. This ability creates an opportunity to communicate important messages and mobilize people to take action. Jim Donovan & the Sun King Warriors believe that it is possible to be of service and to have a great time doing so.

The Sun King Warriors project mission is use music as a platform to:

We do this by:

  1. Providing unforgettable live music experiences & recordings that people want to be a part of
  2. Connecting people throughout our systems, encouraging interaction and self-organization around important causes
  3. Mobilizing fans to take specific action such as bringing food for local food pantries to our shows
  4. Educating people about ways to use music for anxiety reduction, social connection and self expression
  5. Utilizing media via radio & news interviews to spread the word about our mission
